Contains a collection of items: (1) 'Camera stellata' attributed to Lambarde, including 'As in the government of all common wealths...'; (2) 'The course and proceedings of all causes in the highe courte of Starchamber' which includes 'Of the suing forth of the orriginall subpena'; (3) cases in the Star Chamber, mostly from 5 to Mich. 21 Jac. I (1607-1623), but not in order, with a table and cases; (4) 'A briefe discourse provinge that the House of Comens hath equall power with the Peeres in pointe of judicature written by Sir Robert Cotton to Sir Edward Mountague anno 1621'.

Prynne published a pamphlet, Histriomastix (1632) in which he denounced female actors, at the same time Queen Henrietta Maria was participating in a court masque. This was considered an attack on the crown and he was found guilty of sedition, sentenced to have his ears cut off, fined £5000, and sentenced to life imprisonment.
